As a woman who has been unable to bear a pregnancy to birth, my heart rages against this insanity. Fertility is NOT a disease, nor is motherhood ... and adamantly, insistently, NOR is womanhood. The biological norm is female (from which male distinction later emerges in utero) and fertile (from which infertility arises only as a manner of something insufficient or incompetent).
